Kairos Institute partnered with XR Horizon to modernise ground staff training through an immersive VR aviation module. The solution simulates real airport operations inside a highly detailed digital twin of an international airport. Trainees can practise operational tasks, learn workflows, and gain job-ready confidence without requiring physical airport access.
Challenge & Solution
Traditional aviation training is limited by airport access, strict timings, safety restrictions, and dependency on physical infrastructure. Kairos required a scalable and accurate VR training system that could mirror actual airport operations. XR Horizon created a fully mapped VR training module covering the entire workflow: from passenger arrival to aircraft departure.
- Realistic airport digital twin
- Realistic operational scenarios
- Fully mapped user journey
- Optimised VR deployment
Our Process
Our team executed end-to-end airport workflows, finalised storyboards, and conducted requirement studies to ensure operational and technical accuracy. Parallel 3D environment development and VR programming ensured efficient production. Multi-stage testing and hardware optimisation ensured that the training module delivered seamless performance across sessions.
Result Driven
The VR module enables Kairos Institute to offer highly immersive, repeatable, and efficient training for aviation students and ground staff. It improves learner confidence, enhances procedural accuracy, decreases reliance on actual airport environments, and facilitates scalable aviation education.
